Einstürzende Neubauten

Attention c'est du lourd !

Einstürzende Neubauten (littéralement, "les immeubles d'après guerre qui s'écroulent") est un groupe formé en 1980 à Berlin Ouest. C'est le premier groupe a avoir proposé des pistes d'industriel abouties, les Coil et autres Throbbing Gristle étant encore très expérimentaux.

Dès leur débuts le groupe se fait remarquer par l'utilisation de marteaux-piqueurs, perceuses et autres plaques de métal.

- Blixa Bargeld (Christian Emmerich) : chant, guitare, claviers (depuis 1980). Il a également été membre pendant 20 ans des Bad Seeds de Nick Cave

Inutile de vous dire qu'il met impossible de vous montrer toute les facettes du groupe avec si peu de vidéos.

Dommage parce qu'ils sont passés y a pas longtemps en France, mais le principe du tour anniversaire laissait à désirer (enfin, selon moi) donc je suis pas allé
Je regretterais plus de pas voir Kraftwerk que Neubauten par contre

German TV station ZDF Kulturkanal today confirmed that it is to broadcast in full a recent gig featuring Einstürzende Neubauten, Wire and Caspar Brötzmann

Berlin Live will be broadcast via German TV station ZDF Kulturkanal on the 3rd December 2011 at 21.00hrs (CET) and will also be available to watch online.

The show was filmed on the 15th September 2011 at Trafo in Berlin – Trafo is an extraordinary location for a concert, having once been a former power plant, and provides 7,000 m² of raw industrial space on three main levels, which well compliments the artists featured.

Caspar Brötzmann Massaker ‘played’ for 30 minutes and performed just two songs/compositions.
Wire performed a selection of tracks culled from their extensive career ranging from ‘Pink Flag’ and through to the recent acclaimed ‘Red Barked Tree’ album. (LTW interviewed Wire in Jan 2011)Einstürzende Neubauten performed their ‘hits’ including Let’s Do It A Dada, and Sabrina – the stage was suitably filled with metal that Blixa Bargeld used for percussion.

The gig also includes interviews with each of the groups by German presenter Silke Super (surely not his real name?)

ZDF Kulturkanal can be viewed in the UK via the ASTRA 1H satellite; sadly not on your Sky+ box then…
